- Abstract
The article discusses the foreign trade relations between Ukraine and other countries. It is noted that exports increased to 33 percent in the first quarter of 2007 and that the main factor behind the growing values of exported steel products was the rapid growth of global steel prices. The forecast for exports of goods for 2007 and the growth among Ukraine's key trading partners such as the Russia and the European Union were upgraded by the ICPS economists. Ukraine saw U.S. $1.162mn of foreign direct investment (FDI) according to NBU data.
