- Abstract
The article presents information on a field trial using Portland limestone cement (PLC) concrete in the construction of a parking lot in Canada and the results of the same. It compares the PLC concrete and the portland cement (PC). The addition of limestone to portland cement provides several benefits including increasing the rate of hydration of calcium silicates and also improving particle packing. It discusses various cementious materials which can be used to form concrete mixtures.
