- Abstract
The article discusses the innovative prestressed partially precast structural system for construction of long-span, combined two-way slabs with high span-to-depth ratios, which is used in several civil and residential structures in the U.S. The system uses several elements such as one to three meter prestressed precast slabs, shear reinforcement, and positive moment reinforcement. The precast two-way system provides various advantages which includes faster construction, higher strength materials, and better quality.
