- Abstract
The article presents a note of literary criticism, discussing questions of the inconsistent presence of books in the narrative of "The Picture of Dorian Gray," by Oscar Wilde. Details are given noting the discrepancies in different descriptions of Gray's attic in the tale and questions are raised regarding whether or not it was a literary oversight, or a subtle expression of the theme of Gray's madness.
