- Abstract
Ga,Sr,Ba,Th,U and rare earth elements in pegmatite samples were determined by ICP-MS using lithium metaborate and lithium tetraborate fusion followed nitric acid, hydrochloric acid and hydrofluoric acid digestion. The detection limit was 0.03~0.91μg·g-1, and the relative standard deviation was better than 5%. Moreover,the relative error between measured results and recommended values of certified reference materials was 0.07%~25%,which meet the requirements of the geological and mineral industry standards (DZ/T0130—2006) . For the analysis of actual samples,the analysis results were almost consistent with acid digestion. Furthermore, the method can be completed within 24 hours pre-processing to testing,which greatly improves the efficiency and is suitable for the rapid determination of REE,U,Th,Ga,Sr in geological samples including pegmatite.
