- Abstract
The article presents a study on the connection between the induction of micronucleus (MN) and the induction of nuclear abnormalities in erythrocytes after exposure to genotoxic agents. The study uses various experiments that expose central mudminnows (Umbra limi) and brown bullheads to ethyl methanesulphonate (EMS) and benzo(a)pyrene (BaP) by intraperitoneal injection. Results show that incidence of MN induced in peripheral erythrocytes was low compared to mammalian in vivo biological assays.
