- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 13-year-old boy suffering from split hand and foot malformations (SHFM), who also suffered from recurrent Streptococcus pneumoniae meningitis. The boy was also diagnosed with hearing loss. Blood and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) culture of the child confirmed penicillin-resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae.
