- Abstract
Larvae of three species of net-spinning Trichoptera in a Canadian stream were found to prefer shallow, fast-flowing sites with large, moss-covered rocks. Several seasonal and interspecific differences were revealed. A philopotamid species was found to occupy a different niche from two hydropsychid species, chiefly in terms of food and feeding, but no major ecological differences could be demonstrated between the last-mentioned species-pair.
