- Abstract
The article examines the TM-Sindhi programme, age and brief tests of perceptual-motor speed and nonverbal intelligence. Several studies suggest that the TM-Sidhi programme, which consists of an advanced set of procedures that can be learned by people who already are practicing the Transcendental Meditation technique, produces changes independently of practice of Transcendental Meditation. It can be seen that both perceptual-motor speed and nonverbal intelligence are clearly sensitive to age differences. It also was found that duration of practice of the TM-Sidhi programme was a significant predictor of scores in the opposite direction to age, when a number of possible confounding variables were held constant.
