- Abstract
Let pod-k(n) denote the number of partition k-tuples of any positive integer n where the odd parts in each partition are distinct. The arithmetic properties of pod-k(n) for the particular cases k = 1; 2; 3 and 4 have been studied by different authors in recent times. In this paper, we study the arithmetic properties of the partition functions pod-5(n) and pod-7(n) and establish infinite family of congruences by using Ramanujan's theta-functions. We also prove some other congruences for pod-5(n) and pod-7(n).
