- Abstract
The article discusses data on new-onset type 1 diabetes during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic, in children, have limited. Topics include the angiotensin converting enzyme 2 receptor has the binding site for Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and -2 and has expressed in pancreatic endocrine cells; and SeSARS-CoV-2 serum IgG antibody has tested in a subgroup of children attending one of two units; 3 of 16 children tested positive.
