- Abstract
An editorial is presented in which the author discusses the necessity of translational cognitive‑neurotoxicological research in methamphetamine (METH) abuse and addiction. Topics discussed includes effects of METH on the health and well-being of the addicted individuals, neurotoxic effects can increases the risk of poorer health outcomes, and increase in monoaminergic signaling with effects in the noradrenergic and dopaminergic systems.
