- Abstract
The article focuses on a study related to microphthalmia-associated transcription factor (MITF) regulation through melanin synthesis by americanin A (AA) in melan-a cells suppression in vivo and in vitro studies. Topics discussed include changes in cytotoxicity and morphological factors when treated in different concentrations of AA, suppression of protein levels of tyrosinase-related protein (TRP-1), and tyrosinase (TYR) and antimelanogenic activity of AA as skin-whitening agent.
