- Abstract
The article presents a study which seeks to determine the carcinogenic potency of the artificial sweetener aspartame (APM) in mice. It states that the study was conducted by letting Swiss mice consume feed added with APM from the time of gestation until death. Results show that increased occurrences of APM dose-related hepatocellular carcinomas and alveolar carcinomas developed in male mouse. It also asserts that APM is a carcinogen that attacks different organs of rodents.
