- Abstract
Taking the vehicle connecting plate as object, the drawing process was s imulated by finite analysis software AutoForm. The feasibility of process was verified by the distribution of thickness and formability of parts. In order to solve the problem of excessive thinning rate in the forming process, the response surface model of thinning rate was established with the factors of stamping speed, blank holder force and clearance between convex and concave die. The influence law of factors on the forming effect was obtained. the optimum parameters were determined as follows: stamping speed 3 000 mm/ s, blank holder force 300 kN, and punch-die gap distance 1. 575 mm. The optimized parameter combination was used to conduct the actual molding test, which proves that the forming effect of the connecting plate is good, and it is basically consistent with the simulation results, which verifies the correctness of the finite element analys is and provides guidance for the actual production.
