- Abstract
The article presents a study on West Nile Virus (WNV) human infections confirmed by immunoglobulin M (IgM) ELISA and seroconversion by 90% plaque reduction neutralization tests of paired serum samples obtained from persons with febrile illness and viral encephalitis in Xinjuang, China in 2011. Topics discussed include isolation of WNV from mosquitoes in western China and the results of phylogenetic comparisons of complete nucleotide sequences of E gene from isolates.
