- Abstract
A letter is presented from Shang-Gin Wu, Tzu-Hsiu Tsai and Shang-Ju Wu about acute cytomegalovirus (CMV) pneumonitis in a 40-year-old Taiwanese woman with lymphomatoid granulomatosis (LYG). Her chest has bilateral multiple lung nodules based on computed tomographic (CT) scan in May 2005. The role of host factors in determining the pathogenicity of the virus is noted. Also cited is the need to recognize the potential for acute CMV reactivation during rituximab use in LYG patients.
