- Abstract
A shape reconstruction method is investigated for real-time condition assessment control and health monitoring of spar wing structures. In the method strain sensors are used to obtain strain measurements from the target structure and to reconstruct the corresponding displacement based on the Ko displacement theory. The method is examined through an experimental uniform strength beam model. Then a finite element model of wing spar is built to verify the shape reconstruction method. Both the results show the feasibility and reliability of the method.
