- Abstract
The article describes a case of a male patient with carpal tunnel syndrome due to gouty tophi. Topics mentioned include the removal of gouty deposits under the epineurium of the median nerve by surgery, the need of continuous monitoring of uric acid levels and regulation of diet, the use of dual-source computed tomography to diagnose and treat joint deformities caused by tophi, and the administration of dexamethasone to prevent neuro-edema.
