- Abstract
The article focuses on the contributions of professor Ludwig Emil von Cichorius to the teaching of anthropology at the University of Tartu in Estonia. Cichorius delivered lectures on individual differences and included elements of anthropology during the spring term of 1805. He suffered from a mental disease and died on March 15, 1829 after receiving an emeritus status. He left a library which contained 1,004 volumes and 49% of those were medical literature.
