- Title
French Insolvency Law Reform: Significant Improvements for Creditors and Companies' Groups.
- Authors
Paillotin, Sylvain
- Abstract
France has long gained a reputation as an overly debtor- and employee-friendly jurisdiction. Creditors need to work with these constraints rather than against them if they are to benefit. A reform applicable since I July 2014 gives creditors more incentives and possibilities to play an active role in deciding the outcome of the proceedings. The coordination of companies' groups is also enhanced. Additional amendments currently under discussion will further contribute to making France a more investor-friendly jurisdiction.
