- Abstract
The article offers clinical information on bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome following allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome is a progressive and insidious lung disease that occurs in a subset of patients who undergo lung transplantation and allogeneic HSCT. Its pathogenesis includes increasing age, presence of airflow obstruction, and alloimmunity. The clinical manifestations, diagnosis, and treatment of bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome are described, along with its differential diagnosis. The diagnostic criteria for bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome is also explained.
