- Abstract
The article provides information on a study which analyzed the erythropoietin (EPO)-independent and dependent processes to optimize the timing of EPO addition during in vitro erythropoiesis. The study used umbilical cord blood obtained from the placenta under asceptic condition in vaginal deliver with informed consent of 8 mothers from Weha Women's University in Seoul, South Korea. The research also analyzed the production efficiency of glycophorin A (GPA)-expressing cells according to the timing of EPO addition.
