- Abstract
The article examines the California Supreme Court's judgment in the case of Perry v. Schwarzenegger with reference to same-sex marriages. The concept of judicial activism has been clarified by analyzing the principles of federalism, the Perry decision and its impact on the society. It also highlights the court's ignorance, the unusual process followed by the court and the judicial attack on the marriage traditions.
