- Abstract
Pot experiments were carried out with weed species Chenopodium album L., Portulaca oleracea L. and Cyperus otundus L. to investigate the relationships between climatic onditions and herbicidal efficacy of foramsulfuron. he herbicide was applied at the recommended and half dose in 5 different times within a day (06.00, 10.00, 4.00, 18.00 and 21.00) nd study was replicated three times under different climatic conditions. During xperiments, temperatures, humidity and light intensity was recorded. Relationship between climatic onditions nd herbicide efficacy was evaluated by comparing three experiments with each other, as well as the treatment imes within each application date. Results showed that the elationship between herbicide efficacy and climatic arameter is variable depending on the weed species. In general it was concluded that the daily mean temperature nd humidity alues had more influence on herbicide efficacy than time of day values. Annual weed species such s C. album and P. oleracea were more sensitive to herbicide when applied under relative ow temperature and igh humidity conditions, while the temperature was more important in the case of perennial weed C. rotundus. tudies concerning time of day treatments showed hat herbicide provided generally better effect in the morning imes (06.00-10.00) under relatively low temperature and high humidity conditions.
