- Title
How reversible is sea ice loss?
- Authors
Ridley, J. K.; Lowe, J. A.; Hewitt, H. T.
- Abstract
The article examines the issue of irreversibility of sea ice loss using a different experimental approach that involves the force of the climate in a reversible manner ramping CO2 up to come threshold then back down to initial state. It investigates the polar climate response to climatic changes arising from the two CO2 experiments. The authors found no evidence of a threshold of irreversibility in the sea ice though Antarctic sea ice shows lag behind global temperature.
