The article presents several research proposals that aim to address human health-related issues in the Arctic regions. Proposals include the Siberian Birth Outcomes Study (SIBOS), the evaluation and reduction of the burden of infectious diseases in Greenland and healthy lifestyle projects. Moreover, these proposals are capable of addressing issues such as the health effects of environmental contaminants, climate change and the changing patterns of chronic diseases.
