- Abstract
ln order to solve the problems of low dye uptake, high water consumption and energy consumption for feather fiber by traditional dyeing method, the dyeing condition of feather fibers was investigated in ultrasonic wave by Box-Benhnken center composite design and response surface method. The effects of reactive, dyeing amount, dyeing temperature, dyeing time, liquor ratio and their interactions on the dye uptake of feather fibers were systematically studied using ultrasonic method, and the prediction model of quadratic polynomial regression equation was obtained. An optimized dyeing process of feathers was recommended with amount of reactive dyes of 2%, a dyeing temperature of 80°C, a dyeing time of 60 min and liquor ratio of 1 :40 in ultrasonic wave. Under these conditions, the dye uptake of feather fibers reaches 75.4%, which can meet the dyeing effect of traditional method.
