- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the actual occurrence of birth peaks in a feral coypu population, Myocastor coypus, through the determination of the developmental phases of prenatal species. For the study, researchers analyzed the birth season in the Middle Delta of the Paraná River, Entre Rio, Argentina. The developmental process included the less than 60-day gestation stage, the 60-day gestation stage, the 90-day gestation stage and 120-day gestation stage. Researchers found that coypu births happen continuosly throughout the observation period.
