- Abstract
In this study the endurance due to pull forces of corner conjuctions made with plain mortise, hidden mortise by constructional conjuction techniques which are used in production of window and door were researched. For this purpose pull tests made on totally 160 unit frame construction corner junction models. After the test made, in usage of yellow pine materials the highest average pull endurance occurred as 3072 kpa with plain mortise and the lowest average pull endurance occurred as 1749,5 kpa with hidden mortise were determined. When the area of adhered surface took in consideration the maximum pull stretch found as 19,57 kpa in plain mortise and the minimum pull stretch found as 14,04 kpa in hidden mortise were determined in conjunctions made by using yellow pine when abies mill used in conjunctions, the maximum pull stretch found as 12,60 kPa in plain mortise and the minimum pull stretch found as 10,88 kPa in hidden mortise were determined. When chestnut used in conjunctions, the maximum pull stretch found as 18,06 kPa in hidden mortise and the minimum pull stretch found as 10,87 kPa in plain mortise were determined. Lastly, when abies chestnut used in conjuctions, the maximum pull stretch found as 18,50 kpa in hidden mortise and the minimum pull stretch found as 16,81 kPa in plain mortise were determined.
