- Abstract
The purpose of the study is to explore the perceived psychological impact of sports injuries in sports and personal level of athlete, assessing their influence on psychological well-being and competitive anxiety. The participants of the study were 26 athletes (17 gymnasts and 9 tennis players) of ages between 12 and 18. Initially, there was the psychological impact of the injuries produces on the sports and personal life of athletes with an analogical ad hoc scale. At the beginning of the season, was assessed the state of well-being through the Ryff's Scale of Psychological Well-being, and at the beginning the competition, used the SAS-2 Competitive Anxiety Scale. The results show that the psychological injury impact correlates negatively with the 'domain of the environment' -as dimension of psychological well-being- in the 'sporting life' of the participants 'experienced'. However there not have significant relationships with the competitive anxiety.
