- Abstract
The article presents a case study of 74-year-old man with abrupt onset of global aphasi and having a history of partial right hemianopsia. He was diagnosed with ostial stenosis of the left internal carotid artery and was administered with recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (rt-PA) after taking apixaban. The patient showed recovery with normal platelet count, prothrombin time and fibrinogen levels without signs of new infarction on repeat computed tomography (CT).
