The article focuses on the ongoing Nakba which refers to the ethnic cleansing and displacement of Palestinians in historic Palestine that began in 1947-48 and continues to this day. It highlights the consequences of the Nakba including the denial of Palestinian rights; the erasure of Palestinian history and identity; and the importance of recognizing the Nakba as a central part of the Palestinian narrative and struggle for justice and self-determination.
