Irish patients wait 2 years for colonoscopy.
Abstract
The article discusses a report from Ireland's Health Service Executive (HSE) that found that some patients are waiting two or more years for a colonoscopy. The Minister for Health in Ireland said that the procedures are a priority in the HSE service plan for 2009. Hospitals are being asked to refer patients waiting more than 3 months for private treatment to the National Patient Treatment Fund.
