- Abstract
The article highlights two study that enhances understanding of the Helicobacter pylori virulence factor CagA-induced cellular transformation. One is by M. Suzuki that demonstrates phosphorylated CagA activating downstream host cell-signalling pathways by binding to the Crk adaptor proteins, and by Bagnoli and colleagues which expressed the different domains of CagA in polarized epithelial cells and analyzed CagA's effect on epithelial junctions, cell morphology, polarity and migration.
