- Abstract
The article examines the incorporation by science and speculative fiction (SF) writer Nalo Hopkinson of Caribbean oral folk traditions in her works and her representation of the storyteller and the practice of storytelling. Also cited are the deterritorialization/reterritorialization and rhizome formulations promoted by Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari, as well as Hopkinson's novel "Midnight Robber."
