The article focuses on a national debate about the training and accreditation of the medical professionals who investigate criminally suspicious deaths and homicides in Ontario in 2007. It mentions the investigation into the work of Dr. Charles Smith, formerly the head of the pediatric forensic pathology unit at Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children.
