- Abstract
The article describes the successful placement of pulmonary artery catheter in 51-year-old woman following her diagnosis of a persistent left superior vena cava (PLSVC). Information is presented on the diagnosis and the placement of the pulmonary artery catheter. It relates the association between PLSVC and other structural and conduction abnormalities. It discusses the significance and challenge posed by PLSVC to anaesthetists.
