- Authors
Shahidullah, M.
- Abstract
The article presents a response by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) to a paper by Madden et al. about the life expectancy of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians, published in this journal. ABS explains the methods it used in compiling life expectancy estimates and classification adopted for the indigenous groups mentioned in the paper. The bureau mentions that the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) funded ABS to link the 2011 Census data to death registration data.
