- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the involvement of health care assistants (HCAs) without any specialist mental health training experience in clinical depression management. The researchers in the study interviewed 26 HCAs and analyzed their role perception, disease conception, and burdening factors. The results of the study show that HCAs are willing to provide patient-centered work as an opportunity to improve their personal and professional capabilities.
