- Abstract
The article discusses the mechanical properties and structure of injected-molded polypropylene along the flow direction. An investigation of the injection-molded parts of a copolymer polypropylene (PP) is presented. Topics include the anisotropic properties along the flow direction and the differences between the mechanical properties between the near part, closer to the injection gate, and the far part, far from the injection gate. Also discussed is the effect of the melt viscosity on the mechanical differences along the flow direction.
