- Abstract
The article examines the importance of local election campaigns in Great Britain. The consideration of local factors and local campaigns as determinants of election outcomes are discussed. The campaigns should not be considered unimportant because councilors may be unaware of the reality of the electoral process. It is stated that the opportunity for effective political party organization is greater in local elections rather than national elections. It is concluded that such campaigns are of importance since they educate the public about the person who is offering himself as a candidate for the elections. They also help to ensure the coherence and maintenance of local political parties.
