- Abstract
The article presents a response to Professor Kenneth S. Abraham's article "Four Conceptions of Insurance" which appears in a 2013 issue of the journal and discusses American insurance law, the roles of brokers in the insurance marketplace, and transfers of risk from general contractors to subcontractors in the U.S. construction industry. Standard commercial general liability policies and insurance brokerage firms such as Marsh & McLennan Companies are mentioned, along with captive agents.
