- Abstract
The article focuses on the RESON (Read, Express, Answer, Share, Offer, Notice) mnemonics, a self-instruction strategy for twice-exceptional (2e) learners struggling with common core mathematics. Topics discussed include importance of self-regulation in enhancing learning experience, REASON self-regulation problem solving strategy to enhance mathematical understanding in 2e learners, and using the strategy to scaffold the reasoning process in mathematical problem solving for a 2e learner.
