- Abstract
The article provides information on a computational approach called NetworKIN which combines consensus sequence motifs and protein-association networks in predicting protein kinase targets of identified phosphorylation sites. It involves two steps including the designation of protein kinases to each phosphorylation and the construction of a context network for each substrate using the STRING database. Meanwhile, it states that NetworKIN is based on 112 protein kinases from 20 families.
