- Abstract
The facial morphology of patients with certain diseases is different from that of most normal people and has certain similarities. According to different facial features, computer information technology can be used to help diagnose such diseases. Through computer- aided medical diagnosis, some studies have found that the screening rate for some diseases is close to or even higher than that of doctors, and the diagnosis period is shortened. This paper reviews the basic principles and traditional methods of computer-aided diagnosis of facial morphology-related diseases. Then, starting from the different factors that cause the change of face shape, the relevant applied research is analyzed and summarized. The morphological features of human face are analyzed from different technical perspectives to provide different entry points for the faster and more accurate diagnosis of diseases in the future.
