- Title
Tumour immunology: Anticancer drugs need bugs.
- Authors
Bordon, Yvonne
- Abstract
The article discusses researches related to anticancer drugs. It references the studies "Commensal bacteria control cancer response to therapy by modulating the tumor microenvironment" by N. Iida and colleagues, and "The intestinal microbiota modulates the anticancer immune effects of cyclophosphamide" by S. Viaud and colleagues, both in a 2013 issue of "Science." The said studies indicated that commensals can markedly affect the response to both chemotherapies and immunotherapies.
