ARTIST'S STATEMENT.
- Authors
Aje, Jide
- Abstract
The article features Jide Aje and his works whose underlying premise is to tell one's own story whether in an individual, ethnic or national context. He is inquisitive by nature who live a very information dense life and he cites exploration and experiment as good adjectives to describe the way he works. He refers to most of his work as genetic experiments that contribute to other apparently unrelated finished pieces at some point in time and describes his most recent pieces as improvisational.
