- Abstract
The article presents the discussion on wind turbines being one of the leading causes of mass bat mortality. Topics include bat population being at risk of extinction due to mortality from wind turbines; bats being long-lived mammals with low reproductive potential and requiring high adult survivorship for maintaining populations; and wind energy companies responsible for completing environmental impact assessments (EIAs) prior to the installation of wind turbines.
