- Abstract
Based on the banzhuren's actual identity as a teacher in charge of a class and the ought-to-be role as a lifelong mentor of students expected in Regulations on the Work of Class Teachers in Primary and Middle Schools issued by Ministry of Education, banzhuren's key competence should be the leadership which makes him/ her different from the subject teachers. Banzhuren's first responsibility is to teach students how to be moral men, therefore, banzhuren's leadership is mainly embodied in the value leadership. To enhance the leadership, it is a must for a banzhuren to understand the human nature, grasp the moral characteristics, follow the laws of moral education and develop into the practical rationality by means of practice, self-examination and abstraction in moral education.
